Brainspotting Therapy
Meet Kimberly

Hi, I am Kimberly, a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor at Path to Peace Wellness. I am trained in Brainspotting Phase 1 and Phase 2 and I am actively working toward full BSP Certification.
My work is grounded in person centered and trauma informed approaches. I value collaboration, emotional safety, and honoring the client’s internal pace. I blend gentle nervous system informed care with a relational and supportive style. I stay attuned to each client’s cues, use body based awareness tools, and when it fits, I add humor to help sessions feel safe, human, and relatable. I support clients in understanding the story their nervous system has been carrying, even when the words are not there yet.
My focus is always on supporting clients in a way that respects their unique story and nervous system capacity.

What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting (BSP) is a focused brain and body therapy that uses a client’s visual field to help access and process experiences stored beneath conscious awareness. It works by locating brainspots, which are eye positions that correlate with the activation of internal emotional or somatic material. BSP uses attunement, grounding, and bilateral sound to support regulation and healing.
Instead of requiring clients to retell or relive difficult memories, BSP supports the brain’s natural capacity to heal, release, and reorganize old patterns.
What Can Brainspotting Help With?
BSP is used with children, teens, and adults. It has been used to support:
-
Trauma and PTSD
-
Complex trauma and developmental trauma
-
Anxiety, panic, and worry spirals
-
Depression and mood dysregulation
-
Grief and loss
-
Performance enhancement in sports, academics, creativity, and public speaking
-

Attachment wounds
-

-

-

Support for Early and Intergenerational Trauma
BSP can also support:
-
Early developmental trauma
-
Pre verbal and in utero stress experiences held in the body
-
Intergenerational and family patterns that can reflect epigenetic stress responses
These areas are included because the nervous system begins forming long before conscious memory develops, and research shows that stress can be stored in the body and can influence family systems across generations. BSP helps work with these patterns in a safe and regulated way without requiring specific memories.
BSP can be gentle, deep, and highly adaptable. It is not only for trauma. It is equally helpful for nervous system regulation, stress reduction, and building internal resilience.
All BSP services are out of pocket unless otherwise noted. Insurance waiver forms must be signed before BSP sessions or BSP add ons.
